Bob Werntz
Bob, affectionately known as “Preacher Bob,” became the minister of the Sharondale Church of Christ on July 1, 1975. He is the son of the late Ray and Helen Werntz of Akron, Ohio. He attended Kentucky Christian College (now Kentucky Christian University) in Grayson, Ky. and was ordained to ministry at his home congregation, the Church of Christ at Clinton, Ohio. He ministered three other congregations: Ford’s Branch Church of Christ, Pikeville Church of Christ and Vanzant Church of Christ. His wife, Betty, is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Landon Sword of Pikeville.
